Job Overview

On this position, you will be responsible for the US GAAP accounting and reporting for a total of $23.7m of CAPEX, for Global Commercial Solutions investments .This will include mainly fixed assets and general accounting duties to ensure the entities’ books are complete and accurate and are reported to the US parent company in a timely fashion each month. The primary focus will be to ensure strict adherence to US GAAP, internal financial policies, and ensure compliance with IQVIA Financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also help on the month end process activities such as running& checking SAP/ PSoft reports, preparing and submitting accruals for posting, performing reconciliations and variance checks as required and supporting timely and accurate monthly reporting processes. You will also help to maintain the product codes & profit centers hierarchy.

Essential Functions

  • Support month end process within deadlines and instructions.
  • Manage capitalization of labor costs for internally developed software
  • Book regular monthly journals and ad hoc adjustments as required
  • Oversee reconciliations of tangible and intangible assets on monthly basis
  • Manage the capitalization and disposal of fixed assets in the accounting system
  • Ensure that accounting records are thoroughly maintained in preparation for independent audits.
  • Provide full audit support during annual financial audits
  • Participates and manages departmental projects as needed.
  • Maintain and update product codes and profit center hierarchies working with MDM team
  • Provide recommendations to improve existing processes and financial systems and suggest alternatives where appropriate.
  • Ensure appropriate communication with all business partners and support business partners in financial decisions, if required.
  • Maintain and improve technical accounting skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • General Ledger Accounting background. Fixed assets accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills – effective verbal and written communication skills in English language is MUST
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ experience in accounting.
  • Strong Excel and ERP system skills (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Technical accounting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and managers.
