This is a Director level position within the Data Quality team. This role focuses on design and implementation of enterprise-wide Data Governance initiatives, ensuring the Firm complies with regulatory requirements and manages data-related risks in line with business objectives. To achieve this, you'll partner with senior stakeholders, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, work with business and technology teams to ensure controls are effectively implemented and drive continuous improvement in our Data Governance processes.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you'll do in the role:Develop and implement Data Governance policies, standards, and proceduresSupport implementation of regional and global regulatory requirements relating to data governance, privacy, data management and AI governance, translating regulatory expectations into practical governance controls and processesSupport the Firm's Data Governance framework, including Data Quality, Information Management, Privacy and AI controls designed to promote responsible use and protection of information assetsPartner with Privacy, Information Management, Technology and Legal stakeholders to ensure data is appropriately governed across its lifecycleOversee and support maintenance of the Firm's Data Deliverables Inventory, as well as Data Quality controls such as data catalogs, data lineage, and data quality rulesMonitor and report on data risk metrics, driving remediation plans for risk issues and incidentsSupport regional Data Governance committeesConduct training for business and technology owners on Data Governance roles and responsibilities and liaise between business and technology teams to ensure Data Governance-related tooling requirements are defined and prioritizedWhat you'll bring to the role:4+ years working experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality Information Management or non-financial risk management (particularly in domains relating to Regulatory Reporting and Model Risk)Typically, 5+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this roleProven ability to design, implement, and/or run Data Governance frameworks, as well as related control processesTrack record of working within large matrix organizations, across business and support function teamsAbility to identify, assess and challenge data-related risks, and drive effective remediation and control improvements across business and technology stakeholdersStrong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management...
