Scale Leader, APJC Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering (PACE)
Perth, Australia · Sydney, Australia · Melbourne, AustraliaFull-timePosted Jul 15, 2026
AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS Cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and support. We dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success. This customer-first approach is how we built the world's most adopted cloud. Join us and help us grow.
Be the force multiplier that accelerates innovation from AI to Agents to Robotics, at scale for AWS's most forward-thinking customers and partners. The AWS Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering (PACE) team builds working prototypes leveraging frontier technologies in days and weeks, not months, and we need a Technical Program Manager who can own and grow our Scale business. If you're passionate about technology, energized by building programs that create non-linear impact through technology, partners, and the AWS sales team. If you thrive on turning successful prototyping patterns into repeatable, scalable mechanisms, this is your opportunity to shape how organizations globally adopt the most leading-edge technologies at scale.
In this role, you'll own the APJC PACE scale motion end-to-end, using a "Scale through others " approach. You'll take proven patterns and scale them through a growing ecosystem of partners and through the AWS sales and field teams. You will design, deploy and inspect mechanisms that are custom built to drive accelerated growth, garner support and sponsorship from across a diversity of AWS functions and
As a functional Single Threaded Leader and member of APJC PACE Leadership Team, through your leadership, the APJC PACE Scale Business will grow and mature and be held up as the industry standard for best practices for how to build a self-sustaining eco-system of Partners who grow their businesses through new lines of revenue.
You will represent PACE at AWS Summits, AWS partner Summits, re:invent and other industry forums. You will be expected to build qualification mechanisms and expand into new markets, industries and partnership all whilst delivering outsized revenue growth. You'll lead the consumption of reusable assets, industry reference architectures, and blueprints that enable partners and the AWS field to deliver PACE-quality AI outcomes independently. This isn't a typical TPM role: you'll sit at the intersection of AI innovation, scale execution and partner ecosystem strategy, working on problems that don't have obvious answers while creating programs that drive outsized business impact with visibilty across the industry.
Key job responsibilities
Own and deliver the PACE Scale business objectives, defining strategy, execution plans, and growth targets that expand PACE's reach beyond the core team. Recruit, enable, and manage a growing ecosystem of partners through the "Amazon Designed, Partner Delivered" model - from onboarding through production launch. Design and operate scalable mechanisms (partner summits, certification programs, feedback loops) that ensure partners deliver high-quality outcomes independently. Consume and create accelerators and reusable assets, blueprints, and industry reference architectures that partners and field teams can deploy without direct PACE involvement. Establish and track program KPIs - partner launch rates, production conversion, time-to-delivery, and business impact - using data to continuously improve the program. Partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and field teams to route and qualify opportunities across direct and partner-led channels.
A day in the life
Your morning starts reviewing performance dashboards - which engagements launched to production this week, where partners and field teams need support, and which new opportunities are queued. You jump into a call with a Tech VP to ideate and lock down new markets and strategies for growth. Midday, you're developing execution plans and reviewing the APJC PACE Scale GTM. Afternoon brings a strategy session with Sales leadership on expanding the partner program into a new industry vertical, followed by a quick sync with a partner who just hit a milestone worth celebrating. You're building the machine that scales adoption beyond what any single team could deliver alone.
About the team
The PACE team is a small, high-impact group of Prototyping Architects, Design Technologists, and Technical Program Managers who build prototypes at a pace most organizations can't match. You'll work alongside builders who are equally comfortable whiteboarding architecture patterns and shipping production-ready code. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our partner ecosystem, field sales teams, and solutions architects across AWS, while helping shape how a growing network of technology partners brings AI to customers at scale. We move fast, we experiment constantly, and we measure success by what makes it to production.
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
