Medical Assistant Registered WA

The Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) in the Stepful MA-R to MA-C bridge program works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Journey MA-R performs all aspects of the Associate MA-R role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. A Journey MA-R is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

MA-Rs in the Stepful MA-R to MA-C bridge program are also enrolled with Stepful through the entirety of the program and are required to attend virtual classes and complete coursework.

Required Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED General    
• Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire 
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire 

Preferred Qualification:

• Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary, Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk, Nursing Assistant, or Phlebotomist.
• 6 months of Healthcare experience
