Position Summary
- Toss Securities is preparing to enter the Japanese market and build a differentiated digital brokerage experience for local investors. We are actively building our Japan operations and looking for talented individuals to grow with us. We are seeking an IT Manager to join our founding team in Tokyo, responsible for building and operating IT infrastructure from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to design and lead IT at a fast-moving fintech company.
Key Responsibility
- Manage and operate company-wide IT infrastructure including email systems, PCs, servers, networks, and VDI
- Implement and maintain firewall policies, VPNs, and wireless network environments
- Evaluate and introduce IT solutions and tools that improve reliability, security, and business productivity
- Ensure all systems used for communication, storage, and backup comply with the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and relevant FSA guidelines
- Provide day-to-day IT support for employees, troubleshooting issues with devices (PCs, monitors, printers, etc.) and software
- Manage IT hardware and software assets, licenses, and procurement
- Deliver smooth IT setup for new hires and offboarding processes for departing employees
- Manage user accounts and permissions across SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, etc.)
- Establish and enforce IT security policies and procedures to ensure secure access and compliance
- Monitor risks and proactively mitigate vulnerabilities in systems and networks
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and external service providers in Japan
- Lead IT-related projects including infrastructure build-out, SaaS rollouts, and process automation
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams during regulatory audits or cybersecurity examinations
Must-Have
- 5–7 years of IT operations experience across infrastructure and end-user support
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS environments, server and network management
- Hands-on experience with SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, etc.)
- Hands-on expertise in firewall, VPN, and wireless network setup and administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of supporting employees at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred
- Experience in a financial institution or regulated industry (securities, banking, insurance, etc.) is a strong plus
- Business-level Japanese required; Korean or English proficiency is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills is a plus
- Relevant IT certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Network Specialist, Information Security Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator)
