The Role
As Engineering Director, Web Platforms you will lead the engineering strategy and delivery for MyPresidio.com – our eCommerce and online account management tool for customers. You will drive an engineering-first mindset across the web channel. Partnering closely with product and business leaders, you will translate business priorities into a multi-year technology roadmap that modernizes platforms, improves customer experience, and accelerates Presidio’s digital ambitions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle for web platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, reliability, and SLA compliance across environments.
- Set technical strategy and roadmap in partnership with product and business leaders, prioritizing modernization, performance, and customer experience outcomes – based on experience with modern design best practices.
- Drive agile delivery and financial discipline to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
- Own the overall design for integrations and oversee new backend systems and infrastructure.
- Establish and oversee the engineering operating model.
- Provide leadership to contracted developers and technical resources.
- Work with internal and external partners to develop a new modern, secure and scalable architecture for a new portal platform.
- Step into technical problem solving during critical incidents or escalations as needed.
- Represent web technology in executive forums, communicating progress, risks, and opportunities while influencing enterprise digital strategy.
Required Skills and Professional Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within engineering or IT organizations focused on digital platforms and customer experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and / or military experience
- Expertise in large-scale web platform architecture, performance optimization, and site reliability engineering.
- Demonstrated experience shaping long-term technology strategy and aligning engineering investments to business goals.
- Demonstrated experience leading successful software development lifecycle execution across modern web technologies and agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and / or military experience
- Preferred experience in core web technologies: React, Redux, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, Tailwind CSS, Bit, Java, Node.js, Spring Boot, Kafka, GraphQL, MuleSoft, Sanity.io, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, Akamai
- Strong stakeholder leadership with the ability to influence across business, product, and technology organizations.
- Proven ability to partner with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver complex technology initiatives.
