Operations Product Management (OPM) Leader serves as the primary integrator between Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program leadership. The OPM Leader ensure operational execution of program commitments by aligning schedules, cost, quality, and delivery performance to factory capability and program requirements. They coordinate cross‑functional resources, maintain clear operational visibility, and drive prioritization and readiness across the RLPM (Product LifeCycle) process connecting long‑range strategy, daily execution, and transition‑to‑production planning.

This role can be based at our facilities in McKinney, TX, or Richardson, TX (E. Renner Rd or E. CityLine Drive)

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the single point of operations interface to Program IPT & GM. translating customer and contract requirements into clear, executable operations plans.

  • Align with SIOP and Program teams to evaluate new business and NPI demand, partnering with the Site Leader to ensure MPS accuracy and factory readiness to support OTD.

  • Partner with Program, Finance, and Operations to own consolidated operations cost, delivery, and productivity performance, ensuring weekly tracking and alignment to the IMS and program schedule.

  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to support the resolution of cross‑functional challenges, ensuring factory issues are surfaced and driven to closure through the Tier/Gemba accountability process.

  • Lead coordination and performance tracking for NPI and transition‑to‑production readiness, leveraging the RLPM process to ensure a smooth and controlled handoff into full‑rate production.

  • Develop, maintain, and report against program governance, milestones, KPIs, and resource plans.

  • Drive portfolio prioritization, project intake processes, and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Lead issue resolution and cross‑functional decision‑making to keep deliverables on track. Partner with OPMs, Site Leaders and functional owners to surface and coordinate resolution of barriers impacting schedule, cost, and quality.

  • Support AOP and long‑range planning by aligning product roadmaps, demand forecasts, and factory capability (capacity, staffing, and capital) to ensure the site can meet future business needs.

  • Attends all Program cadences as the Ops focal of the IPT: Including but not limited to: Program OA, L3 SIOP, EACs, Program Staff Meetings, CapEx reviews, Talent Reviews (when required), Program Town halls/AllHands. Present program updates, risks, and recommendations to leadership and executive stakeholders.

  • Shape strategic sourcing decisions by driving Make/Buy/Where recommendations in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations leadership.

  • Travel up to 25% to support business initiatives

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 10 years’ experience

  • Experience leading manufacturing operations (Site leader, operations leader, quality leader, planning leader)

  • Experience working/leading New Product Introduction

  • Program Management experience in aerospace industry

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience developing and implementing Operational Strategy (Product and Footprint)

  • Military/Defense programs experience

  • Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic, etc)

  • MBA or Master degree is a plus

  • Multi-Site leadership experience

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
