Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neuromed Tech, you will demonstrate knowledge and application skills of common neurological testing and procedures. Your precise data collection and artifact management will directly assist neurologists in diagnosing conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, sleep disorders, and brain tumors.

 

Every day, you will be responsible for preparing patients and conducting specialized neuro diagnostic tests that measure electrical activity in the brain and nervous system.

 

To be successful, you will conduct standard and complex neuro diagnostic testing, including Routine/Ambulatory EEG's, Evoked Potentials (EP), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), and Polysomnograms (PSG).

  • Currently working towards obtaining EEG certification from ABRET.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others across all departments and neurologists.
  • Accurately assess patient's physical and emotional condition.
  • Provides accurate and complete documentation.

  • High School education or equivalent in work experience current CPR certification
  • Performs electroencephalographic tests and other neurological examinations as requested
  • Assists physicians as requested 
  • Participates in Ambulatory Services Depart support activities
  • Current CPR certification
  • One (1) year recent experience as an EEG technician in an acute care facility  

Preferred

  • Certification as an EEG technician
