Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Imaging Services Supervisor, you will thoughtfully oversee all specialized, administrative, and regulatory operations, ensuring seamless and patient-centered service delivery.Every day you will champion your team, proactively advocating for their needs, ideas, and concerns directly to leadership. Leveraging your exceptional communication skills, you will adeptly navigate challenging conversations and serve as a dedicated educator, utilizing every interaction to enhance understanding of patient, staff, and organizational needs.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate both competence and confidence, effectively managing your team through clear communication, robust performance management, strategic hiring, and comprehensive training initiatives.
- In collaboration with Executive Director, Operations Manager and Physician Site Directors, supports a vision and work culture that reflects a patient care-focused environment. Collaborates, as appropriate, to discuss and resolve daily operational and financial issues pertaining to the practice. Participates in work groups, teams, task forces and committees to support ongoing division functions, provide input, and resolve ad hoc issues.
- Provide support to any service-line issues by helping oversee team coordination of referrals within the clinic environment.
- Supports centralized coordination of the clinic's financial operating budget. Ensures that patient care is achieved at lowest controllable costs. Supports management in the development of annual company budget; provides information to management who monitors fiscal operations. Assists in resolving problems and issues and reconciles discrepancies.
- Assist with template management (i.e., modality schedules), balances number of exams/services with operational revenue requirements. Manages supply costs, tracks inventory usage, using purchasing information management systems. This includes maintaining staffing levels that adhere to MIC labor standards. Works with management to adjust these standards as needed based on volume and quality of care needed.
- Ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, and maintains compliance with all requirements impacting areas of responsibilities.
- Assists with coordination of departmental management and support, including voice and data communications, electronic medical record and clinical information systems, space, and equipment. Assists with departmental needs for maintenance and repairs to systems and materials. Participates in the integration of clinical information systems into clinic operations.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Bachelors in healthcare, business, or related subject OR equivalent work experience
- Three (3) years of lead or supervisory experience in healthcare with outpatient experience
- Strong analytical skills required
Preferred:
- Previous management experience in a busy imaging center environment.
Strong leadership and management skills to provide planning, coordination and direction to departmental staff, and to propose innovative solutions to management problems.
Ability to exercise authority and direct and motivate others.
Planning, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to anticipate, avert, or resolve issues of staffing, scheduling and task allocation.
Ability to be flexible to maintain continuity of programs while considering individual staff needs and goals.
Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with a minimum of direction.
Ability to understand and implement the requirements of providing patient care within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment.
Ability to understand health care issues within a broad perspective, and to apply these issues to the clinical setting.
Ability to develop efficient processes and to build a strong team core
Demonstrated ability to work with physicians.
Knowledge of business and management principles, in organizational development, seamless access for patients, and ability to apply these principles to a centralized patient access department.
Knowledge of or ability to learn and develop management reports showing centers performance against established goals and benchmarks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to express ideas assertively, clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with others to secure necessary information and cooperation from a variety of people.
Knowledge of personal and/or mainframe computers and software tools, including word processing, spreadsheet, data base, clinical information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems, and other application packages.
Knowledge of imaging exams, pertinent CPT and ICD-9 codes
