POSITION SUMMARY

Being a key member of the Product Leadership team, this role plays a critical part in achieving business goals to drive seamless Intermodal solutions for customers complementing our other products to provide excellent service to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Profit & Loss

  • New and existing customer contract management

  • Continuous improvement & optimization of assets

  • Investment decisions and follow up on the same

Product

  • Developing the Intermodal business strategy, in conjunction with other products to maximise the overall benefit to Maersk (Carrier Haulage, Merchant Haulage, etc.)

  • Executing the Intermodal strategy in alignment with Mekong Intermodal strategy

  • Network development and optimisation to meet the future growth requirements and achieves sustainable business results.

  • Work with procurement team to optimise mix of transactional and leased trucks

  • Support new project implementation

  • Build the product based on data & facts. Meaning actions need to be developed from data which we can manage and report our business.

Pre-sales and Sales

  • Identify new leads

  • Business development by liaising with area sales to deliver the strategy

  • Work with procurement on tender management

  • Contribute to broader product agenda. Representing to sales how the Intermodal Product is developing and support their needs.

Operational excellence

  • HSSE adherence

  • Drive compliance & regulatory adherence

  • Deliver innovation and efficiency to gain market advantage

  • Provide optimal digital innovations to provide customer experience, including TMS implementation.

  • Drive adherence to governance framework

  • Follow Maersk Operating System (MOS) for structure of meetings

Leadership:

  • Develop talent pipeline

  • Outspoken with a positive mindset in approach to developing the business

  • Liaise closely with others product in establishing common frameworks and work on potential synergies

  • Develop a team of can-do spirited people who are striving to be the best that they can be.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

  • At least 07 - 10 years’ professional experience at similar role(s) in landside/transportation business.

  • A strong understanding and knowledge of the local logistics market and experience in landside/transportation business is a must.

  • Financial acumen – ability to read, interpret and act on P&L

  • Language proficiency: Native Thais level and Professional English level.

  • Proven track record for leadership & team management with ability to build collaborative relationship

  • Self-directed / Entrepreneurial with solid commercial mindset

  • Excellent skills of stakeholder management & collaboration in a matrix organization

  • Cultural openness

  • Communication & interpersonal skills

  • Strong dealing with customers

  • Change & project management
