Due to the growth of our Grid business, we are currently looking for our next HVDC Site Commissioning Manager (all genders) in the “Construction & Commissioning” function to participate in this energy transition for Central Europe.

About the Role

As a HVDC Site Commissioning Manager (all genders) you will be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of large- scale international HVDC Converter Stations.

You will lead Commissioning activities directly on site with an international team of Commissioning Engineers.

As a HVDC Site Commissioning Manager (all genders) you have a key position within key projects for the energy transition.

You will report within the project to the overall HVDC Commissioning Manager.

The position requires international travels with construction site presence during the commissioning phase. The HVDC sites are located in Germany and Netherlands as well as in Singapore and Batam for the platform construction.

Mission description

  • Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are planned and carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Liaise with Engineering and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …)
  • Prepare the Commissioning Schedule for the HVDC Converter Station in alignment with the consortium partner for the platform manufacturing
  • Be part of a team to prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs & Checklists and setup a Completion Management System
  • Contribute as part of the Commissioning Team to Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure that systems delivered to site with the right quality
  • Maintain effective communication related to Commissioning scope with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders and be the main point of contact for Commissioning on site
  • Collaborate with the Project Team about Quality, Claim & Risk Management

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will actively advance the Energy Transition by bringing our HVDC projects to a successful completion with our customers
  • You will support our Commissioning Department with your expertise and will develop yourself with the state-of-the-art technologies

What You Bring

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Knowledge and minimum several years of experience in Commissioning of substations, Power Plants or HVDC Systems.
  • Excellent Communication skills paired with strong Leadership skills in an internation project environment
  • Fluent in English, German language or additional language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
