Meta seeks a motivated and organized team player to join our growing European Privacy and Data Policy team. You will work on strategic engagement and outreach with privacy and data policy stakeholders in Ireland and the UK. This will involve working on cutting-edge data policy issues and building relationships with key stakeholders. The role will involve proactive policy development, project management, and the creation of networks across different sectors. You will work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and present to both internal and external audiences. This role involves working on novel public policy issues.Privacy and Data Policy Manager Responsibilities:Identify and monitor data policy issues affecting Meta in Ireland and the UKAnalyse legislative and regulatory proposals on privacy, data, and related technology issues in Ireland, the UK, and the wider European regionWork closely with cross-functional teams on a range of policy issues, including strategically drafting submissions and engagement plans for local policy audiencesDevelop proactive strategies and initiatives to address policy challengesEngage and build relationships with relevant stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, and NGOs in Ireland and the UKRepresent Meta at meetings and conferencesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant feild6+ years of professional experience in a public policy role, with experience in privacy, data policy, or related technology fieldsExperience in managing strategic outreach with a broad range of stakeholders within policy, advocacy, or government positionsExperience navigating cross-functional teams and prioritising competing project timelinesPreferred Qualifications:Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy...
