Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced and people-first Production Supervisor / Manager to lead front-line manufacturing operations on D Shift across our airfoil, rotor, and diaphragm shops. This is a high-ownership role — weekend overnight shifts operate with lean support structures, meaning the right candidate must be decisive, resourceful, and confident leading independently. You will oversee approximately 28 hourly direct reports and serve as the primary leadership presence across your shift, driving safety, quality, delivery, and team culture from the floor up.

Job Description

What you'll do

  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees, typically managing hourly employee populations with approximately 28 direct reports.
  • Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of front-line manufacturing employees in rotors and airfoils manufacturing proceses, and repair. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans. Ensure proper staffing levels to meet production demands, including recruiting and training new employees.
  • Production Oversight: Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives. Analyze production data and report to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Culture, Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and optimize processes.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college — OR — a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Must be able to work 100% on-site in Bangor, Maine
  • Must be available and willing to work D Shift: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

  • Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.
  • This role supports B shift, with typical working hours 6:00pm-6:am Fri, Sat & Sun.

The base pay range for this position is $90,400 - $105,000 USD per year.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
