41665 - Reference File Analyst 1
Job Purpose
Under guidance, maintain and enhance complex reference data files to support IQVIA production processes, with a focus on drug information classification, product coding, and data accuracy.
Essential Functions
• Perform research (e.g., internet search, databases, publications, and external sources) to gather and verify drug information to improve completeness and accuracy of IQVIA reference data
• Classify pharmaceutical products using standard classification systems such as ATC, NFC, CHC, and others
• Process, validate, and analyze data using SQL, Excel, or Python
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data by validating information sourced from third parties before updating records
• Support production processes by generating required data files and outputs for quality control and client deliverables
• Perform a variety of tasks including data input, report validation, and medicine portfolio checks, ensuring accuracy and consistency across processes
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (Pharmacy, Data, or related field preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in market research, pharmaceutical data, or related domain
Skills & Competencies
• Strong analytical and data validation skills
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel (Python is an advantage)
• Knowledge of drug classification systems (ATC, NFC, etc.) is highly preferred
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to conduct research and resolve non-routine data issues independently
• Strong adaptability and willingness to take on diverse tasks across team functions
• Team-oriented mindset with ability to support multi-scope operations
Nice-to-Have
• Background in pharmacy or drug data management
• Experience working with healthcare datasets or coding standards
