Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and enhance scalable platform infrastructure that supports highly available, cloud-native applications.
- Lead the architecture and delivery of large-scale distributed systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate platform maturity, improve deployment processes, and reduce infrastructure provisioning timelines.
- Define and implement best practices for system design, scalability, monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response.
- Develop production-ready software while contributing to architecture reviews, technical design documentation, testing, and code quality initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain platform reliability and continuously improve operational processes.
- Drive cross-functional technical initiatives by influencing stakeholders, aligning priorities, and delivering scalable engineering solutions.
- Promote engineering productivity by leveraging modern development practices, automation, and AI-assisted software development tools.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production environments.
- Strong expertise in system architecture, including scalability, latency, availability, consistency, and cost optimization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, containers, infrastructure as code, and modern platform engineering practices.
- Proven ability to define and manage SLOs, SLIs, capacity planning, performance optimization, and reliability engineering initiatives.
- Excellent programming skills with experience in Go or comparable languages such as Python, Rust, C, or C++.
- Experience building and operating cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure management tools.
- Comfortable working with AI-powered developer tools to improve software development workflows and engineering productivity.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Experience with open-source technologies, Kubernetes scheduling, Terraform, Crossplane, Jsonnet, or similar platform engineering tools is considered a strong advantage.
- Competitive base salary ranging from USD $174,986 to $209,983, depending on experience, skills, and location.
