A cycle counter job involves maintaining accurate inventory records by regularly counting and verifying stock levels. This role ensures inventory data is up-to-date and discrepancies are resolved, often working closely with supply chain, warehouse, and operations teams. This person will also play a key role in assisting the inventory specialist with tracking of stock movements, transactions, and transfers across the plant.Job Responsibilities:• Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton Quality standards and system• Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment• Perform daily cycle counts of inventory on production floor and in the warehouse.• Record count data in Mapics/AS400/excel file.• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate rack/bin locations.• Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies. • Verify inventory on stock outs and shortages.• Audit Material Handlers on shift.• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for counting and reporting.• Will be required to train and obtain forklift certification to be able to operate forklifts or pallet jacks as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor may include putting material away and transferring material.• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed.Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:• High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution is required • Must not be on a written or a final written warning• Employee must complete at least 6 months in their current role before becoming eligible to apply for another position including same role on a different shift. Exceptions may be made based on business need.• Ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner.• Strong verbal skills, analytical problem-solving skills with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment.• Strong ability to pay attention to details. Preferred Qualifications:• 1+ year of inventory, warehouse, or cycle counting experience preferred.• Prior work experience using a computer, including basic knowledge in Microsoft Office software Outlook, Word, Excel and AS400• Prior experience with AS400/MAPICS is preferred.• 6-month previous standup reach forklift operating experienceWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
