What You Will Do:

We have an exciting opportunity for an NDT Repair Specialist at our growing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations, a recognized leader in refurbishment of aero-engine and Industrial Gas Turbine airfoils  We are looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization.   • Serve as a trainer for NDT inspectors and a liaison between quality and operations
  • Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required
  • Complete classroom theory training for other inspectors, proctor OFT and certification examination as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications
  • Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
  • Responsible for signing-off product inspected
  • Re-certification required at interval specified by Pratt & Whitney qualifications
  • Perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area with inspectors and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Must be able to retain NDT Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications
  • Must be willing to work any shift, including an alternate work week. Overtime may be required
  • This position is available on 2nd shift M-TH (4x10).

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 1-year of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 2-year technical degree in a Non-Destructive Testing program OR Level II Certification or higher in multiple NDT disciplines
  • In absence of a technical degree, have 5 years of work experience in Non-Destructive inspection
  • Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment
  • ASNT certifications in multiple NDT disciplines
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Pratt & Whitney Grand Prairie, TX is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
