As a Junior Accounting Manager, you will build your accounting foundation hands-on, supporting our full bookkeeping cycle while contributing to the automation and process improvement work that keeps Planet A Foods running efficiently. You'll start with a structured onboarding boot camp, designed to fast-track your fundamentals before you take on full ownership of your workstreams: so you're set up to grow fast, not thrown in unprepared.You will work closely with our CFO and Lead FP&A, gaining direct exposure to finance operations in a fast-moving food tech environment and growing into a reliable pillar of the team. We're looking for analytical, numbers-driven minds who get genuinely curious about *why* a number looks the way it does.A Taste of What to ExpectSupport monthly and annual financial closures, learning the end-to-end close process with exposure to consolidation workflowsOwn and continuously optimize our end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processesRun full-cycle bookkeeping (AP/AR/GL) on our current stack (DATEV Unternehmen Online and Spendesk)Participate in ERP system projects from an accounting perspective, shadowing implementation work and gradually owning tasksStreamline VAT and tax reporting through integrated system logic and digital filing interfaces, replacing manual processes with automated complianceDesign and manage payment workflows to optimize cash flow, enhance customer experience, and maintain operational bank relationsSupport the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with internal stakeholders as neededThe Perfect Recipe of Skills & Experience Education in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field combined with at least 1–2 years of relevant experience, ideally in Startups, Scaleups or ConsultingExposure to the implementation of an accounting or ERP system is a strong plusBasic knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB/German GAAP) and DATEV familiarity Analytical, tech-savvy and genuinely numbers-driven: you find patterns in data as instinctively as you keep books tidy, with real enthusiasm for AI workflows and process optimizationReliable, detail-oriented and able to work independentlyFull professional fluency in German and EnglishA Sweet PackageEarly ownership and responsibility in a fast-moving environmentCollaborate with a passionate international team working at the edge of what's possibleWork in a rare food-tech startups that is scaling and operating in a 24/7 4-shift production system A position where you can help to challenge a trillion-dollar industry!A very competitive compensation and opportunity to growStuff that other startups do as well (30 days vacation, tasty lunches, snacks, drinks, vouchers, gym...)PLUS: Chocolate.
