SUPO, where required)About the role ICEYE is seeking an AIT Engineer to own the assembly, integration, and testing of on-board computer and communications subsystems at our Espoo headquarters. This is a hands-on technical role for an engineer with strong expertise in complex electronics and SDR-based communications systems, ready to contribute directly to spacecraft production and mission-critical troubleshooting in a fast-paced, high-cadence environment.What you will doServe as the primary technical point of contact for all OBC and Comms issues during manufacturing, integration, and testingConduct hands-on inspection, verification, and assembly of OBC and Comms subsystems hardwareIdentify, contain, and drive root cause analysis of non-conformances; implement corrective actions and close feedback loops into design and production processesContribute to OBC and Comms design reviews, production ramp-up planning, and DFM/DFT improvementsRepresent AIT Engineering across projects and disciplines, interfacing with design engineers, production leads, and other domain AIT engineersApply system-level understanding to anticipate integration risks across subsystem interfaces and ensure mission successProduce and maintain technical documentation including test procedures, NCRs, and corrective action recordsWhat you bringMust have5+ years of hands-on experience in the development, integration, testing, or production of complex electronics and communications systemsDeep technical knowledge of electronics engineering and SDR-based communications systems, with system-level understanding across full hardware architecturesDemonstrated experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments, including mentoring engineers and technicians and driving cross-functional collaborationStrong track record in DFM and DFT in high-reliability hardware environmentsFamiliarity with integration, verification, configuration management, and production ramp-up processes in complex hardware industriesProactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving including structured root cause analysisContinuous improvement mindset, with the ability to drive reliability and repeatability as production volumes scaleAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyStrong written and spoken English communication skillsExperience writing clear, traceable technical documentationNice to haveExperience with issue tracking and configuration management toolsFamiliarity with Python or AI-assisted tools for productivity and test automationRapid ability to structure and synthesize complex technical information and communicate conclusions clearlyResilience and sustained motivation in high-pressure production environmentsTransparency, humility, and an active growth mindset Application ProcessTalent Acquisition InterviewHiring Manager General InterviewTechnical Interview (onsite or virtual), including a Technical ChallengeHiring Team + Director-level InterviewOffer DecisionWhat We Offer at ICEYEAt ICEYE, you will join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
