As an L3 Zscaler Specialist at NTT DATA, you’ll take on a senior technical role at the heart of our clients’ cloud security and secure access transformation. Zscaler is your home turf — you’ll own the most complex incidents, drive root cause analysis, and design long-term solutions across ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX. Working in multi-vendor environments, you’ll lead technical escalations, shape strategic initiatives, and mentor junior engineers as a recognized subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority for Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), owning resolution of high-impact incidents and deep-dive troubleshooting.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes across the secure web gateway, zero trust access, and digital experience monitoring stack.
• Design and execute complex changes, migrations, and upgrades — including policy, traffic forwarding (GRE, IPsec, PAC, Client Connector), and SSL inspection — with minimal disruption.
• Act as a technical escalation point for L1 and L2 teams across Zscaler and the wider multi-vendor estate.
• Collaborate with clients, CoE teams, and automation engineers to harden security posture and improve service delivery.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and execution for secure access and connectivity services.
• Maintain high-quality documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
• Analyse trends and proactively identify areas for improvement, automation, and risk reduction.

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

• Fluent in English, with excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
• Proven, hands-on L3 expertise with Zscaler as a must-have, including:
  • Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) — policy, SSL inspection, traffic forwarding, URL/cloud app control, DLP
  • Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) — app segments, connectors, zero trust access design and troubleshooting
  • Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) and Zscaler Client Connector deployment and diagnostics

• Strong hands-on experience across complementary technologies in a multi-vendor environment, such as:
  • Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks (including Prisma Access and SASE)
  • F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM)
  • SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Fortinet SD-WAN, Prisma SD-WAN)

• Deep understanding of networking and security protocols (BGP, OSPF, NAT, VPN/IPsec, GRE, TLS/SSL, DNS).
• Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g., SecureCRT, LogicMonitor, ServiceNow).
• Relevant certifications such as ZCCP (ZIA / ZPA), ZDTA, CCNP, PCNSE, or Fortinet NSE 5+.
• A degree in IT/Computing or equivalent professional experience.
