Food & Beverage Executive
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Food & Beverage Executive to oversee and optimize F&B operations within our facility. This role is responsible for managing dining services, coordinating with vendors, ensuring quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of cafeterias, dining areas, coffee shops, and catering services within the facility
- Ensure smooth service delivery during meal periods, events, and special functions
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service quality to maintain high standards
- Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and ordering to prevent waste and ensure availability
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for all F&B outlets
Vendor & Contract Management
- Coordinate with third-party F&B vendors and service providers to ensure contract compliance
- Negotiate pricing, service levels, and quality standards with suppliers and vendors
- Conduct regular performance reviews and vendor assessments
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve service-related issues promptly
- Oversee contract renewals and participate in vendor selection processes
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and HACCP standards
- Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage facilities, and service areas
- Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices across all F&B operations
- Maintain required licenses, permits, and certifications for F&B operations
- Implement corrective actions for any quality or compliance deficiencies
Customer Service & Experience
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and dining experience
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently
- Conduct regular surveys to assess customer satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities
- Create innovative menu concepts and promotional programs to meet diverse preferences
- Organize special events, themed meals, and catering services for meetings and functions
Financial Management
- Develop and manage F&B operational budgets and track expenditures
- Optimize pricing strategies while maintaining value for customers
Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise F&B staff including cooks, servers, and support personnel (if directly employed)
- Coordinate training programs on food handling, customer service, and safety protocols
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours and special events
- Foster a positive and professional work environment
Menu Planning & Development
- Collaborate with chefs and vendors to develop diverse, nutritious, and appealing menus
- Ensure menu offerings accommodate dietary restrictions, preferences, and cultural diversity
- Introduce seasonal items and rotate menu options to maintain variety
- Balance menu mix to optimize customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Monitor food trends and incorporate innovative concepts where appropriate
Health, Safety & Sustainability
- Implement food safety management systems and maintain documentation
- Ensure proper waste management and recycling practices
- Support sustainability initiatives including local sourcing and waste reduction
- Conduct safety training and emergency response drills for F&B areas
- Maintain accurate records of temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and inspections
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Diploma in Food & Beverage Service Management (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in F&B operations, hospitality, or facility management
- Proven track record managing executive dining facilities
- Experience with vendor management
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA, local health codes)
- Knowledge of menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Certifications (Preferred)
- Food Safety Manager Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
