About the role:

As a NDE Engineer you will play a key part in the development of new inspection processes and systems – from initial concept through to successful field implementation. You will act at the interface between development, technical qualification, and practical application.

You will report to the Manager NDE & Special Products and be located at Mannheim

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance and qualify mechanized ultrasonic testing (UT) techniques and systems
  • Prepare technical justifications, specifications, and procedures in line with applicable standards
  • Perform data analysis and document inspection results (laboratory and field)
  • Deliver training for internal and external personnel
  • Support proposal activities, including feasibility assessments and concept development
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary and international teams

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering (e.g., materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or similar)
  • ISO 9712 Level 3 certification in ultrasonic testing (UT)
  • Proven experience with mechanized UT and qualification processes
  • 3+ years of experience in training or knowledge transfer
  • Structured, independent working style and strong team orientation
  • Fluent in English and German
