WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will be working closely within the Material Sourcing & Manufacturing team, including material vendor management and material costing teams. You will also partner closely with Converse functional teams across Product Creation, Product Engineer, Material Developers, and Chemical Engineers. Externally, you will partner with suppliers and factory partners, building strong and collaborative working relationships.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Materials are foundational to product performance, quality, consumer experience, and brand expression at Converse. We are seeking an Analyst II, Material Sourcing to prepare our material source base to flexibly serve future Converse demand, elevate materials manufacturing to build a supply chain to be more responsive, responsible, and resilient.
You are able to translate business and product needs into actionable strategies through analytical thinking and gain alignment with external stakeholders, T1 factories, and T2 material suppliers through effective communication. You need to have an inclusive mindset and a strong team-player mentality, while also bringing a detail-oriented approach and thriving in problem-solving environments. This individual will need to effectively communicate with global teammates, work cross-culturally, and value differences.
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in material sourcing, manufacturing, or supply chain; project management experience is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, including the ability to collaborate with all levels of management.
Strong attention to detail and results orientation, with demonstrated analytical and numerical capabilities.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
A self-motivated and proactive mindset; flexible, able to work independently, and eager to learn and grow.
Ability to travel up to 5%.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As an Analyst II, Material Sourcing, you will work on optimizing existing sourcing strategies and developing new sourcing strategies for footwear materials. You will research and assess suppliers based on capability, capacity, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness to strengthen the supply chain, while supporting the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to improve footwear production.
Develop reporting, dashboards, and data analyses that translate material sourcing data into actionable business insights.
Support material sourcing strategy, supplier allocation, localization roadmaps, and network optimization initiatives.
Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve material responsiveness, capability, and execution.
Monitor material forecasts, raw material availability, and supply risks to help ensure continuity of supply and business resilience.
Contribute to sustainability, compliance, traceability, and supplier capability-building programs across the material supply base.
