The Field Service Engineer is responsible for managing technical enquiries across SEA and Taiwan region, perform installations, qualification, repair and maintenance of the Leica Microsystems products at customer sites and is instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction through communication and transfer of know-how to the customers, channel partners and internal company stakeholders.
This position reports to the Service Manager, SEA & Taiwan and is part of the Customer Support function located in our Leica Microsystems Singapore office and will be required to work on-site at customer location either in Singapore or Oversea.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- To drive growth in service business and meet all service metrics
- To work with cross-functional teams, global technical teams and channel partners
- To ensure customer satisfaction and ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) is delivered
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Experience in the Field Service Delivery operation, especially in medical devices, life science instruments, and healthcare equipment industry.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field service delivery function
- Good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel – 20 – 30% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment and service tools
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Demonstrated experience in SFDC Service Lightning management CRM tool
- Able to plan and multi-task
- Demonstrated knowledge in technical troubleshooting remotely
