Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $92,300.00 - $153,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Enterprises is seeking a Manager, Procurement Service Enablement to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Role:
The Manager, Procurement Service Enablement, is responsible for improving enterprise adoption of procurement processes to improve procurement governance across Cox Enterprises (CEI). This role serves as a key operational leader and business partner, focused on simplifying the buying experience, reducing barriers to compliance, and increasing spend routed through approved procurement channels.
This position operates as an individual contributor with enterprise-wide influence, partnering across functional areas including Brand Marketing, Communications, IT, Facilities, Procurement, Finance, and Accounts Payable to drive process adoption, improve service delivery, and enhance procurement effectiveness. The role combines process design, operational leadership, analytics, and digital enablement to improve procurement outcomes without relying solely on policy enforcement.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Adoption & Buying Experience
Lead efforts to increase PO governance by identifying and removing friction in purchasing processes.
Analyze buying behaviors, non-PO spend, and request patterns to identify adoption gaps and improvement opportunities.
Design and implement improvements to buying journeys, intake processes, and service delivery models to simplify compliant purchasing.
Develop clear guidance and decision frameworks to help stakeholders determine when and how to engage procurement processes.
Drive targeted adoption strategies across business units, categories, and suppliers with the highest opportunity for improved compliance.
Procurement Operations & Service Enablement
Partner with Procurement Operations resources supporting requisition intake, PO creation, and supplier onboarding to improve service effectiveness.
Identify and address breakdowns in the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) process, including intake, approvals, supplier setup, and invoicing.
Define and monitor operational performance metrics such as PO utilization, Procurement cycle time, request quality, and exception rates.
Support escalation management and resolution of complex or cross-functional procurement issues.
Digital Enablement & Analytics
Identify opportunities to leverage automation, workflow tools, and AI to improve intake, triage, and stakeholder support.
Support implementation of guided buying capabilities, automated routing, and policy decision-support tools.
Leverage data and analytics to identify non-compliant spend, track adoption trends, and prioritize improvement efforts.
Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards to measure procurement performance, including PO utilization, spend under management, and service metrics.
Use data insights to recommend targeted actions that improve procurement adoption and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement & Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve data quality.
Standardize processes and develop operating procedures to support scalability and consistency.
Partner across Procurement, Finance, AP, IT, and Sourcing to improve end-to-end process integration and effectiveness.
Compliance & Risk Alignment
Ensure procurement processes and improvements align with policy, controls, and audit requirements.
Balance compliance objectives with user experience to encourage sustainable adoption.
Partner with supplier onboarding and MDM processes to reduce friction impacting compliant purchasing.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or a related field and 6 years of related experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field.
Experience with procurement, ERP, or workflow platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, SAP, Coupa, Ariba, Workday, or similar solutions.
Knowledge of procurement governance, supplier onboarding, purchasing controls, audit requirements, and policy compliance.
Experience implementing automation, workflow optimization, AI-enabled solutions, or digital transformation initiatives.
Experience developing operational dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to measure adoption, cycle times, compliance, and service performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Change Management, or related process improvement certification.
