Pratt & Whitney Lansing, Michigan is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure products and processes meet engineering & customer requirements by applying configuration verification and internal audits.
Review engineering documentation, Quality procedures and test plans.
Collect and present Quality metrics on key process indicators.
Provide on-site Quality support to both internal and external customers.
Establish and maintain the Quality procedures and manuals for AS9100, regulating entities and FAA FAR Part 145 regulations requirements.
Serve as focal point for engineering, customer service support, and operations to investigate and resolve any quality issues.
Perform product, process, and system audits and verify root cause analysis and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions taken.
Review and provide update on technical data changes, etc. as needed.
Review product first articles, PFMEA's, etc.
Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership.
Willing to get cross trained on any other responsibilities of QA department as the need arises.
Monitor quality management system in accordance with AS9100 and other regulatory requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent field required and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience, or
An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years experience .
2+ years of aerospace quality assurance experience required.
Familiarity and comprehension of quality management system standards.
Reviewing engineering documentation and has technical writing skills.
Knowledge of Document Control and Calibration systems.
Familiarity with FAA background Part 145 required.
US Citizen required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Engineering with 2+ years of aerospace quality assurance experience.
A&P License strongly preferred.
Background in Aviation strongly preferred..
Self-motivated and takes initiative and can work independently.
Ability to be flexible, work under pressure and accept any change for business reasons.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
