Accountabilities:

    The Director, Paid Search will lead client strategy, team performance, and operational excellence across paid search initiatives while driving measurable business outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

    • Own executive-level client relationships and serve as a strategic advisor on paid search growth strategies, business goals, and performance opportunities.
    • Align search strategies with client objectives, customer journeys, financial goals, and broader marketing initiatives.
    • Lead client communications, including strategic reviews, business updates, presentations, and decision-making discussions with senior stakeholders.
    • Anticipate challenges, manage escalations, and ensure strong client trust through proactive communication and solution-oriented leadership.
    • Develop and execute platform strategies across paid search channels, including automation, value-based bidding, and performance optimization approaches.
    • Integrate analytics, measurement insights, and attribution learnings into campaign strategies and investment decisions.
    • Establish testing frameworks, experimentation roadmaps, and governance processes to improve performance and identify growth opportunities.
    • Ensure data quality across tracking, feeds, reporting systems, and measurement processes while communicating insights and recommendations effectively.
    • Connect paid search initiatives with broader digital marketing channels, including SEO, social media, commerce, retail media, creative, and other growth channels.
    • Drive financial performance by managing channel profitability, utilization, forecasting accuracy, and resource allocation.
    • Build and lead a high-performing team through coaching, goal setting, feedback, career development, and performance management.
    • Establish operating rhythms, reporting frameworks, quality standards, and best practices that improve consistency and scalability.
    • Promote innovation through technology adoption, AI-driven solutions, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing across teams.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced paid search leader with strong client management expertise, technical knowledge, and a proven ability to drive growth at scale. Required qualifications and skills include:

      • 10+ years of experience in Paid Search/Paid Shopping with demonstrated success managing large-scale campaigns and significant media investments.
      • 5+ years of experience managing B2B client relationships, strategic accounts, and executive-level communications.
      • 3+ years of direct people management experience, including coaching managers and senior individual contributors.
      • Strong expertise with paid search platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Merchant Center, and related advertising technologies.
      • Experience with platforms and tools such as SA360, Skai, competitive intelligence tools, and workflow automation solutions.
      • Strong understanding of cross-channel marketing strategies and the ability to connect paid search with SEO, social, commerce, retail media, TV, and creative initiatives.
      • Proven experience with marketing measurement, including GA4, experimentation design, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analytics.
      • Ability to translate complex data, platform insights, and analytics findings into clear executive recommendations.
      • Strong understanding of automated bidding strategies, Performance Max, AI-powered marketing solutions, and optimization frameworks.
      • Experience managing channel financial performance, including margin, capacity planning, utilization, and forecasting.
      • Exceptional leadership, communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
      • Google Ads Search and Shopping certifications required or completed within the first 60 days; additional certifications are a plus.
