Accountabilities:

The Lead Software Engineer will act as a technical authority responsible for guiding architecture decisions, delivering complex software solutions, and raising engineering standards across teams. This role is highly hands-on, with a strong focus on technical leadership, system design, and mentoring rather than direct people management.

    • Own the technical roadmap for core product solutions, partnering with architects to define scalable architectures, reduce technical debt, and guide long-term technology decisions.
    • Contribute directly to software development by writing high-quality code for complex SaaS applications and solving challenging architectural and technical problems.
    • Serve as the primary technical guide for engineering teams, providing mentorship, design guidance, and support throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Drive engineering excellence by promoting modern practices such as AI-assisted development, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
    • Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions to ensure reliable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
    • Partner with product management, quality engineering, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into effective technical strategies.
    • Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability by identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
    • Support distributed engineering teams by removing technical blockers and encouraging strong development practices.
    • Promote continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of emerging technologies.
    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in architecture, cloud technologies, and full-stack development. They should have demonstrated technical leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive complex engineering initiatives from concept through delivery.

      • 7+ years of professional experience developing, maintaining, and improving large-scale, high-availability web applications and services.
      • 2+ years of experience working in a hands-on technical lead, principal engineer, or similar architecture-focused role.
      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical experience.
      • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, system scalability, and integration strategies.
      • Advanced experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including cloud architecture, serverless technologies, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code.
      • Extensive full-stack development experience with Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, Angular, and TypeScript.
      • Experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with NoSQL database solutions.
      • Proven ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and provide guidance through complex engineering challenges.
      • Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to engineering, product, and leadership audiences.
      • Experience implementing secure, reliable, and maintainable software development practices.
      • Commitment to engineering quality, including automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement.
      • Ability to leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding solutions, to improve productivity and software quality.
      • Benefits:

        • Competitive medical benefits, including PPO and HSA options.
        • Fully covered vision, dental, and short-term disability insurance.
        • Unlimited paid time off, company holidays, and flexible work schedules.
        • Remote work stipend to support a productive home office environment.
        • Equal paid parental leave.
        • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
        • Quarterly wellness reimbursement.
        • Fully remote work environment designed to support flexibility and employee experience.
        • Opportunities to work on innovative technology solutions with a collaborative, highly skilled team.
