Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Staff Avionics Engineer- Cost Volume Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This role reports to the Engineering Integration & Execution (EI&E) Avionics Department Manager on the SCS program. This role is located on-site in Melbourne, FL.Candidate will contribute to the Cost volume regarding proposal strategies for Mission Processing and Communications design and testing, and creating other capture effort documentation, while planning the execution program. Responsibilities include: Primary goal will be to develop realistic cost estimates with known GR&As and risks that meet cost targets. Needs to have breadth of Avionics Mission Processing and Communication system experience to understand scope/tasks and cost bases and estimating methods across the entire program. Needs to have the ability to work across sectors and teammates to review IWO estimates and subcontract proposals. Manages pricing, subcontracts, and other contributors to create a compliant Cost Volume. Establish guidance to BOE leads and consolidate input to ensure a consistent and compliant approachBasic Qualifications: Staff Avionics Engineer- Cost Volume Lead (T05): Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test supportProven experience...
