ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Fleet Environmental Program Department of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO. You will serve as principal environmental National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) planner to the Regional Commander and Installation Commanding Officer for fleet operations and training. You will provide regional policy and recommendations to modify existing policy for the environmental planning of fleet operations and training. You will review environmental documentation prepared pursuant to NEPA (e.g., Notices of intent, environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, records of decisions) as assigned. You will coordinate with various tenant commands and DoD entities to understand training requirements to best support planning of training and operations for near term and long term. You will discuss, negotiate, and develop agreements for mutually satisfactory NEPA compliance actions.
