We’re looking for a Senior Developer 2 to be part of making this happen.

About You

You’re an experienced software developer who has the ability to perform programming tasks and large engineering projects with independence and

expertise. You demonstrate mastery over software development practices, and easily develop reusable design patterns.

You have worked closely in a global team of professionals with different cultures and backgrounds to form one unit with a strong sense of purpose. You

will learn as you teach, making the whole more than the sum.

Position Overview and Objective
A highly skilled developer responsible for delivering major product features independently, mentoring
team members, and driving technical excellence across software development practices. Plays a key role
in architecture, design, and strategic initiatives.
This role is based in Bangalore, India and will require close collaboration with engineering teams
in North America (USA and Canada). Arctic Wolf places a strong emphasis on delivering high-
quality outcomes with efficiency; candidates must demonstrate a consistent commitment to
engineering excellence, quality, and operational efficiency in all aspects of software
development. The role also requires a strong understanding of how AI tools can be applied
across the SDLC to improve productivity and delivery outcomes.


Job Scope
Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve efficiency in coding,
debugging, testing, and documentation activities across the SDLC.
Apply AI-assisted workflows to complete development tasks more efficiently while maintaining
high standards of quality.
Experience training or enabling other team members to effectively use AI tools is desired.
Maintain a strong focus on quality and efficiency, ensuring all deliverables meet Arctic Wolf’s
standards for engineering excellence.
Has comprehensive knowledge of software development practices, mastery over writing and debugging
code, and also provides feedback to others on the team to understand the same. Performs complex
programming tasks and implements software systems, often including other team members as part of the
effort. Assumes responsibility for the quality and delivery of their code. Participates in architecture reviews
and technical design sessions.
Completes major product features with little or no guidance. Able to resolve dependencies across other
teams.


 Activities:
o Consistent and active participation in Team development activities (Daily Scrums,
Retrospectives, Test Fest, etc.)
o Join daily standup, take on tasks by priority (proactively selects next story for example)
o Support on-call rotation, able to support
o Supporting other developers to unblock and training as needed
o Setting standards of maintainable code practice and continuously improving upon them
o Embodies good quality from requirements, use-case, design and code.
o Complex programming tasks.
o Participate in arch and HLD meetings
o Reviews peers’ code and provides detailed feedback.
o Active role in retrospectives, test fest etc.
o Takes ownership of cross-functional dependencies and aligns with other teams.
o Coaching through pairing, code examples, or knowledge share sessions
o Reviewing and providing input to HLDs
o Awareness of business objectives and identification of work application to those
objectives
o Understand design patterns and design anti-patterns.
o Help grow and develop others in the team.
o Mentor junior members in the team.
o Identifies and addresses technical debt and bottlenecks in the system.
o Aligns deliverables with broader business objectives and OKRs.
o Designs and delivers Proofs of Concept (POCs) for high-impact project
o Leads brainstorming sessions for architectural and strategic initiatives.

A cross-team leader driving organizational collaboration and knowledge sharing.
 Activities:
o Actively mentors engineers on a regular weekly cadence.
o Works on multiple repos, teams,
o Conducts knowledge sharing sessions
o Leads technical workshops
o Works with multiple stakeholders (PM, PgM, etc)
o Drives post-mortems and retrospectives

o Improved team processes and decision-making.

Environment and Physical Demands
Work is primarily sedentary in nature and can be executed sitting or standing positions in an office
environment.
Requires ability to utilize technology related to using a keyboard, verbal communication, and work with
device screens which require visual acuity.
If located in a company office, often requires the mobility to physically navigate space.
In the event of business travel, mobility is sufficient to utilize public and private transport and navigate to
essential locations.
May include moving or lifting of 25 pounds or less (e.g. office chair, reams of paper).
