What is the opportunity?

In this role you are a RBC specialist with responsibility for new client acquisition, providing the right advice to match the clients’ investment need. Your ability to develop relationships with both internal and external partners is crucial to your success, particularly within the community and other Centres of Influence. You will build client loyalty through keen desire to provide exceptional advice and personalized service, while your proven motivation and entrepreneurial sales style will allow you to achieve exceptional business results  

What will you do?

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience, understanding and anticipating client needs and adapting to how clients chose to interact with RBC
  • Responsible for business development, attracting new High Net Worth & Corporate investment clients to RBC
  • Connect clients with the appropriate sales professional in the home of best fit within RBC, leveraging RBC’s full range of expertise to satisfy clients’ overall financial needs 
  • Grow the investment portfolio of RBC by hosting investment & retirement advice events and by building relationships with clients, partners and COIs
  • Provide relevant & timely advice to clients on all investment products offered by Caribbean Banking including, but not limited to, Mutual Funds, Individual Managed Accounts, Customized Investment Portfolios, Options, Margin Lending, Equity and Fixed Income Trading
  • Offer solutions that are aligned to the clients’ investment objectives and risk tolerance. and follow corporate compliance/policies to maintain risk exposure and to operate within a legal framework and in accordance with securities regulations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Caring, curious, energetic and have a passion and genuine desire to help clients and make a positive difference in their lives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management, Banking or related discipline.  Master’s degree/Personal Financial Planning designation  preferred
  • Solid acumen of the financial industry & competitors with ability to provide information on local and international economy. Understanding of investment products and key influencing indicators will be an asset.
  • Minimum 5-10 years in a sales environment with experience in the advice and sale of mutual funds. Must meet TTSEC requirements for registration as a Brokering representative
  • Ability to deepen and develop client relationships through exceptional networking and relationship building capabilities that will generate client loyalty and referrals
  • Entrepreneurial  business acquisition mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technically competent in the areas of financial, operational and customer relationship management and new business origination.

Successful candidates will be required to enroll in an RBC internal course within ninety (90 days) of hire date.
