Job Overview

We at Fortive are looking for a proactive and technically deep Microsoft 365 Subject Matter Expert to support, optimize, and secure our collaboration ecosystem. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring platform stability, resolving complex incidents, and driving automation, while working closely with architects and managed service providers. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a seamless, secure, and scalable Microsoft 365 environment for our global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident & Problem Management

    • Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Power Platform in line with organizational security policies.

    • Track service health, monitor incident notifications, and collaborate with Microsoft Support on escalated cases.

    • Develop and maintain resolution documentation and standard operating procedures for L1/L2 support teams.

    • Facilitate user onboarding, offboarding, and account lifecycle management.

    • Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous service improvement initiatives.

  • Platform Administration

    • Administer SharePoint Online site collections, access controls, and storage quotas.

    • Work alongside the M365 Architect to ensure service availability and deploy Power Platform solutions, SharePoint workflows, and Teams applications.

    • Conduct regular platform cleanup and governance activities to maintain tenant security and compliance.

    • Support the deployment and address support issues related to Microsoft 365 Copilot and other AI initiatives.

  • Automation & Operational Efficiency

    • Develop PowerShell scripts for bulk administration, reporting, and automation tasks.

    • Build and maintain business process automation using Power Automate.

  • Vendor & Escalation Management

    • Own, guide, and oversee the Managed Service Provider in resolving Priority 1 and 2 tickets.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Microsoft 365 environments, including SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Cloud & Collaboration: Expertise in SharePoint Online (information architecture, migration), Teams governance, Power Platform, and OneDrive.

    • Security & Compliance: Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, eDiscovery) and Microsoft Entra ID (MFA, Conditional Access, PIM).

    • Automation & Integration: Proficiency in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for automation and integration tasks.

    • Azure & Identity: Understanding of Microsoft Azure services, hybrid integrations, and identity management best practices.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to document processes clearly and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
