Role and Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager of Promotion & Pricing will oversee financial planning, investment analysis, budget management, and reporting for the Account Sales Team within MX B2B. This role will ensure alignment with organizational goals, drive financial performance, provide a consolidated TIM view of investments, and strategic insights to support business growth.
Role Objectives –Promo Planning, Device Pricing, MDF, and TIM Optimization
IT Channel Promotion and Pricing Planning
- Develop deep understanding of B2B distributors, resellers, and end customers to develop and optimize promotion plan and pricing strategy
- Manage the SD budget and ensure adherence to company policies and guardrails to achieve spending targets as a % of revenue
- Track and report on a weekly basis to B2B leadership and HQ the status of budget and program effectiveness
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Collaborate with sales and partners to optimize front and back margin structure while maximizing revenue potential to create efficiencies in spend
- Establish link between sell-out forecasts developed by SCM and promotion planning cadence to confirm supply necessary for successful execution and budget optimization
- Primary liaison with Samsung Finance and Operations organizations
MX B2B Marketing Budget
- Optimize and ensure efficient allocation of MDF investments that align with organizational strategy and goals.
- Partner with Marketing Sr. Director to optimize investments
- Analyze past marketing investments for effectiveness and ROI
- Establish framework that marketing team can utilize for MX plan templates and improve approval turnaround time
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Excel).
- Experience in budgeting and financial planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Experience in the telecommunications or retail industry.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
