A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives and needs is an important part of our culture.Position DescriptionWe are currently hiring for an experienced Associate to work in the Equity Capital Markets Syndicate team within Global Capital Markets (GCM) in London. GCM serves as the nexus between Investment Banking and Sales & Trading. GCM comprises traditional market coverage and underwriting groups for debt and equity, as well as related groups focused on providing customized capital structure solutions for our clients. In the Equity Syndicate role, you would work with clients on multiple high profile equity offerings in a fast-paced environment.Working with the Equity Capital Markets Syndicate, your primary responsibility would be to work with and support the team executing a range of equity products in a busy, active team. This includes:Provide significant support on executing live transactions (IPOs, ABOs, Rights Issues, Convertibles, Private Placements), including preparing launch materials, co-ordinating investor meetings / calls, inputting orders, ensuring necessary internal protocols are met, analysing the deal book and managing information flow amongst the syndicate and internallyCoordinating across internal and external stakeholders to seamlessly execute transactions, including ECM Coverage, Equity Sales & Trading, Legal & Compliance, and other banks and external advisorsEngage with investors on live transactions and collect feedback on potential transactions to help the team and issuer to make informed judgements, and share accordingly with coverage teamsPrepare materials to be presented internally on the business unit including broader market themes, issuance volumes and MS performance relative to peers on both an ad hoc and recurring basisData analysis for the team to use in decision-making or discussions with clientsData pulls for clients to conduct their own analysis fromLiaising with equity sales, research and trading to orchestrate transactions and discuss sector and stock specific trendsTrack live offerings in the market away from us and the performance thereof, updating the broader group and senior stakeholders where appropriateSkills RequiredTop class undergraduate degree from a leading university or equivalentPrior experience executing Equity transactions would be beneficialStrong interest in the financial marketsStrong analytical and numerical skillsFluency in English essentialExcellent oral and written communication skills are essentialAbility to manage a wide range of responsibilities, including handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentA positive, highly-motivated, outgoing...
