Experienced Facilities Reliability Engineer

The Boeing CompanyBoeing’s Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) organization is currently seeking an Experienced Facilities Reliability Engineer to join our Projects, Assets, Construction, and Engineering (PACE) team in Mesa, AZ or El Segundo, CA.
In this role, you’ll be part of a high-performing engineering team, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills, collaborating closely with Facilities Maintenance and other Reliability Engineers who support sites both locally and nationwide.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist in development, implementation, and sustainment of the Boeing Reliability Program
Partner with external suppliers in development of joint program based on shared best practices
Communicate effectively with site teams, on all levels, with Reliability Program development, implementation status, upcoming actions/events, and help needed
Communicate higher-level strategy as well as tactical execution
Lead teams to develop complex conceptual analysis to determine the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods (life cycle analysis, condition-based maintenance, root cause failure methodology, mean time between failures, fault tree analysis, etc.)
Use engineering practices to avoid failures occurring in equipment and processes and identify and manage asset reliability risks that may adversely affect plant or business operations
Lead others in engineering and facilitating the implementation of complex improvements in asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability; to specify configuration of new assets to support reliability programs
Be involved in the design and installation stages of projects for new and modification of existing assets and conduct and develop various analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes
Perform analysis of equipment reliability issues and investigations to determine the level of reliability required for the particular issue considering the economic limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment
Acquire process and equipment data and conduct analysis of the data including preparation for diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports for defining reliability problems and recommendations for improvements and optimization
Lead the business decision making process by providing input to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning; complete studies; analyze current conditions and future requirements; recommend capital improvements; gather and analyze data; work with both internal and external customers to identify and assess alternatives and impacts
25% travel between Mesa and El Segundo sites
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or greater from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry or other technical degree
5 + years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications
3+ years of experience in reliability engineering
Experience supporting industrial facility building systems
25% domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRL) or equivalent
Experience in multiple areas of maintenance and reliability, material management, planning and scheduling, and CMMS / EAM / ERP optimization
Experience with data analysis techniques (Statistical Process Control, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reliability modeling and prediction, RCFA fault analysis techniques, Six Sigma methodology, etc.)
Experience with implementation of Predictive/Maintenance (Vibration Sampling and Analysis, Lubrication Sampling and Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasonic Thickness, Ultrasonic Sound, Machine Alignment and Balancing, etc.)
