Scopely is looking for a highly motivated Director of Performance Marketing for a new, unannounced casual mobile game to join our Performance Marketing Team in Barcelona on a Hybrid basis!

What You’ll Do 

You will lead the Performance Marketing team based in Barcelona for a new casual mobile game launching. This role works cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Analytics, Growth Marketing and Data Engineering and is part of the Performance Marketing team at Scopely.

  • Work closely with the global game team and lead the performance marketing team for a new, unannounced title based on an IP
  • You will lead performance marketing efforts for this title, driving global user growth and building scalable acquisition strategies from pre-launch through live operations.
  • Develop UA strategy, methodology and processes to deliver on each game’s performance targets and improve team’s capabilities
  • Bring leading analysis and insight to acquisition funnel measurement, including helping to define & set goals for key performance indicators on each game, and working with Analytics on implementing improved Business Intelligence and Data Science predictions
  • Mentor the performance marketing managers to identify gaps and inefficiencies in campaign creation, analysis and optimization
  • Serve as key team leader offering feedback, guidance & coaching, and industry mentorship to Scopely’s Barcelona-based UA team
  • Drive relentless culture of experimentation on all key existing UA channels (ex.: Facebook, Google, mobile ad networks, ad exchanges, offerwall) while also ideating and establishing new user acquisition funnels
  • Partner with Product, Strategic Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Marketing Creative, and Data Engineering teams to align the UA strategy with game positioning, audience targeting, lifecycle marketing, and business goals.
  • Drive deep analytical insights into campaign performance, working with Analytics and Data Science to improve forecasting and decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance creative strategy, marketing technology, automation, and fraud prevention systems.
  • Manage and optimize multi-million-dollar marketing budgets with a focus on ROI and long-term player value.

What We’re Looking For 

  • Fluent in English.
  • 8+ years of performance marketing / user acquisition experience, ideally within mobile gaming or consumer apps
  • 4+ years of people management experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Deep analytical mindset with experience in attribution, incrementality testing, LTV modeling, and performance forecasting
  • Strong experience with major platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, programmatic networks, etc.)
  • Demonstrated expertise in launching, and scaling new products
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize a multi-million dollar acquisition budgets across multiple channels
  • Demonstrated ability to drive major incremental volume & returns from improvements in automation, marketing tech stack, fraud prevention, or analytics.
  • Preference (but not required) for experience with match-3, puzzle or other casual mobile games
