What this job involves:
Finance Operations Risk, Governance & Experience (FORGE)'s mission is to improve controllership across Finance Operations by identifying risks, protecting assets, designing controls, testing existing controls, and assisting process owners with risk mitigation or remediation. FORGE collaborates with teams within and beyond FinOps on risk assessments, compliance, corporate social responsibility, regulatory, and governance matters.
Our FORGE GREF Inspections team is seeking a Senior Lead Auditor to join our team. You will play a critical role in partnering with Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) business lines to prioritize inspection opportunities and perform independent inspections of GREF processes and facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to identify risks, protect assets, and drive continuous improvement through thorough inspection programs that directly contribute to JLL's commitment to excellence in risk management and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct end-to-end risk-based process inspections, including planning, fieldwork, and comprehensive reporting for GREF processes and facilities.
- Manage multiple inspection programs such as annual lab inspections, physical security assessments, and operational audits.
- Design and deliver clear, actionable reports that enable business partners at various levels to identify challenges, implement improvements, and highlight successes.
- Analyze data from disparate systems and processes to identify patterns, risks, and control weaknesses.
- Serve as a liaison between GREF customer functions and geographies, connecting risks with compliance and inspection functions as appropriate.
- Build trust and gain cooperation from key program stakeholders to ensure successful inspection outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date program information and status using designated tools while serving as the center of knowledge for assigned programs.
- Chair program calls, provide regular updates, and proactively drive solutions to problems.
- Operate comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels within an entrepreneurial culture, delivering solutions while not being afraid to dive into details.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering, systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience in Risk Management and/or Program Management.
- Strong background in process understanding and business systems with ability to analyze data from multiple sources.
- Experience or exposure to risk management, control design and mapping, or audit (operational or financial).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to discuss both strategic and tactical matters.
- Proven ability to work independently, self-motivate, and deliver results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize competing workloads effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced data analytics capabilities and experience working with complex datasets.
- Professional certification in audit, risk management, or related field (CIA, CISA, CPA, etc.).
- Experience in real estate or facilities management operations and processes.
- Proven ability to understand and improve complex process flows.
- Experience delivering executive-level presentations and communications.
- Skilled in business risk analysis and making technical trade-offs between short-term and long-term business goals.
- Project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Background in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Location: Hybrid (3+ days onsite at Calle Blancos, San Jose, Costa Rica office, remainder optional work from home)
