About the role
The Semiconductor Sr. Lab Manager leads day-to-day operations of semiconductor R&D and Applications laboratories, ensuring safety, quality, equipment uptime, and internal purchasing support of the Applications and R&D personnel teams. This role owns lab readiness, spanning equipment lifecycle management, EHS compliance, material flow, and partners cross-functionally with R&D, Applications Engineering, Facilities, Supply Chain, and Quality to deliver predictable, high-yield lab outcomes.As Credo continues to grow, you will build scalable processes, implement controls to meet ISO 9001 compliance, and develop a high-performing lab team that provides hardware and equipment resources that support rapid application experimentation, device characterization, and regression testing in a dynamic environment.
Base salary range is $120,000 - $200,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 7+ years in semiconductor, microelectronics lab/operations environments; 3+ years in a leadership/people manager role.
- Demonstrated success implementing PM programs.
- Proven EHS record.
- Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills; proficiency with SOPs.
- Experience with implementation of Management Execution System/ Laboratory Information Management Systems.
- Prior experience setting up new labs in a growing dynamic environment.
- Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
Responsibilities
Operational Excellence- Own daily lab operations across multiple Labs.
- Maintain an efficient lab schedule, tool reservations, and run plans to meet R&D and applications build milestones.
- Define and enforce lab ESD protocols, equipment calibration and safety requirements that support ISO 9001 standards.
Equipment & Facilities
- Oversee the full equipment lifecycle: selection/specification, vendor engagement, facilities fit-up, FAT/SAT, installation, acceptance, PMs, calibrations, repairs, decommissioning.
- Manage preventative maintenance plans and spares strategy to achieve uptime targets; analyze MTBF/MTTR and act on chronic issues.
- Coordinate with Facilities on CDA, power and lab cooling.
- Own EHS programs for the lab: laser safety, ergonomics.
- Ensure compliance with internal QMS and external standards (e.g., ISO 9001/14001/45001 as applicable).
- Maintain calibration and traceability for critical metrology; partner with Quality to implement nonconformance and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
- Implement and run regular safety drills, incident investigations, and root cause analyses; track corrective actions to closure.
- Recruit, train, and mentor lab supervision and technicians; set clear expectations and development plans.
- Create a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Manage vacation coverage and cross-training for resilience.
- Oversee materials movement and work to develop a Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to support lab activity, equipment usage and data capture.
- As technology changes, manage consumables, spare parts, and specialty items that support our internal customer requirements.
- Work with your purchasing Team to set up vendor performance tracking, lead times, and cost controls; approve purchase requests.
- Work with Team to author and maintain SOPs, PM procedures, control plans, and emergency response guides.
- Ensure secure and organized data retention for equipment logs, rental equipment tracking, and safety records, etc.
- Partner with R&D and Applications Engineering Teams to determine DOE planning, equipment capability matching, and readiness.
- Align with Program/Project Managers and on lab capacity vs. milestones, flag risks and mitigation plans.
- Interface with external vendors, service providers, and auditors.
