We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world—together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

As part of the Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we’re known for. In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You’ll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be a frontline leader supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunities for career progression. This role is for a resilient, detail-oriented, and ambitious leader who demonstrates high integrity. You will be responsible for the heart of our operations—the people and the processes—ensuring that our production goals are met through servant leadership and a commitment to excellence.

The open position is for a Process Coach (Production Supervisor) within our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be the primary driver of operational success on the shop floor. You will build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union representatives, and management to ensure a collaborative and high-performing work environment. By coaching standardized work and verifying that lines are running safely and smoothly, you will ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

  • Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team to produce world-class manufactured products.
  • Organize daily workflow to meet quality and productivity requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met by coaching standardized work and verifying process adherence.
  • Drive the team to exceed personal, team, and company goals by holding yourself and others to high performance standards.
  • Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union stewards, and the broader management team.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and leadership in difficult or stressful situations.
  • Actively listen to team members and business partners to foster a culture of two-way communication.
  • Apply innovative solutions and a "customer-first" mindset to drive continuous improvement on the line.
  • Implement and enforce workplace policies and a culture of safety.
  • Consistently and effectively administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Value diverse opinions and remain open to new ideas and perspectives from all team members.

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 or more years of supervisory and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends.

Even better, you may have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
  • Safety and Quality department experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of Constraint Management principles.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal and teambuilding skills.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home?
