Change Manager (L10) – Technology & Transformation

Job Summary

You will lead end-to-end change management for moderately complex, technology-driven initiatives, ensuring colleagues are aware, ready, and able to adopt change through strategic planning, data-driven insights, and leadership influence.

Department Overview

The Change Management, Communications, and Colleague Experience (CCCE) Team within Global Technology & Solutions (GTS) works to inspire, drive, and sustain change and colleague excellence by fostering a culture of engagement. Informed by insights, we deliver strategic value through transparent and engaging communications, application of targeted change management practices, and dedicated colleague support.

As part of the Change Management team, you will be a strategic partner leading end-to-end change management activities throughout the initiative life cycle of moderately complex technology-driven initiatives. You will drive value by ensuring colleagues are aware, ready, and able to adopt change to achieve outcome-focused success. Working alongside senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you will influence decisions by leveraging data insights and change expertise.

Breadth & Impact

  • Requires deep change management expertise, with the ability to apply best practices across complex technology initiatives while understanding related business, colleague, communications, and operational impacts

  • Leads change workstreams for complex initiatives and programs

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and advisor across stakeholder groups

  • Impacts business outcomes through adoption, readiness, and sustained change

  • Solves complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop and implement new solutions

  • Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions

  • Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across senior stakeholders

  • Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise

  • Reports to a Senior Manager or above

  • Acts as the change management lead for high risk, strategic and regulatory projects or programs

What You’ll Do

Develop Stakeholder/Persona Expertise

  • Develop a deep understanding of GTS Segment and Personas within your portfolio

  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the Persona database to help strengthen team capabilities

  • Understand business context and anticipate stakeholder needs to support adoption of the change, tailoring approach and tactics to achieve outcome-based results

  • Stay informed of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

Lead Change Strategy

  • Develop and execute end-to-end change strategies aligned to business outcomes

  • Conduct impact, readiness, and risk assessments to inform delivery approach

  • Define and track adoption metrics with business partners

  • Adhere to Enterprise Change frameworks and methodologies including the monthly Change Management Tool data quality  

  • Integrates knowledge of change management methodology with the overarching business strategy and project / program strategy to recommend and implement effective change management interventions, across multiple stakeholder groups

Influence Senior Leaders

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions without formal authority

  • Translate people-related risks into business impact (e.g., timeline, cost, regulatory)

  • Drive alignment across multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment

  • Consults with senior stakeholders to ensure change management is meeting the needs of the business and project / program

  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.

  • Facilitate Change Forums/Change Working groups to support change approach including change adoption risk identification, action planning, and remediation efforts

Develop Tailored Change Plans

  • Build and execute integrated communication, engagement, and training strategies

  • Ensure change activities are outcome-focused, aligned to culture strategy activation, and tied to behaviour change

  • Partner with project and product teams to embed change into delivery

Leverage Data & Insights

  • Analyze data to assess readiness, adoption, and sentiment

  • Translate monthly roadmap data insights into actionable dashboards including recommendations for leadership

  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies to improve outcomes

Drive Adoption & Sustainment

  • Lead go-live readiness and post-launch sustainment activities

  • Ensure transition to business-as-usual is successful and measurable

  • Identify and manage change saturation and competing priorities

Employee/Team

  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest

  • Provide thought leadership and share industry knowledge within your area of expertise, while supporting knowledge transfer across the team and business unit

  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team

  • Keep others informed and up to date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities

  • Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce

  • Act as a brand ambassador for change management function, GTS Culture activation, business and the bank, both internally and/or externally

What You Need to Succeed

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Change Management or related field

  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders

  • Strong communication skills, including executive-level messaging and storytelling

  • Experience delivering change in complex, technology-driven environments

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to inform decisions and measure adoption

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise or multi-portfolio transformation initiatives

  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP)

This role is well suited for a Change Manager who can operate independently in complex, fast-paced environments; influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners; and use data, insights, and sound judgment to drive decision-making, adoption, and measurable outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring a balance of strategic advisory capability and hands-on execution, with demonstrated experience translating change impacts, risks, and adoption insights into practical recommendations for leaders and delivery teams.
