IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

You will serve as a GG-2210-07 or GG-2210-09 IT Specialist (INFOSEC) at the HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER in Suitland, MD. As a Cybersecurity Incident Response Center (CIRC) Specialist, you will perform at the entry/developmental capacity in support of cyber defense incident response. You will serve as a Cybersecurity Incident Response Center (CIRC) Specialist performing at the entry/developmental capacity to support cyber defense incident handling and analysis and reporting. You will complete on-the-job and formal training designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic activities that will lead up to the next grade level in your career progression. You will perform assignments under close supervision and guidance that are associated with monitoring and investigating of cybersecurity events and incidents within a network environment. You will learn and gain experience in research, technical skills, and analytical skills. You will learn and gain knowledge of the Intelligence Community and the role of cybersecurity in Naval Intelligence.
