Senior DevOps Engineer

**Introduction** The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for enabling reliable, secure, and scalable application delivery through automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native DevOps practices. This role focuses on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and supporting container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes across multi‑cloud environments. The position plays a key role in improving operational efficiency, platform stability, and observability. **Your role and responsibilities** * Design, develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support application build, test, and deployment processes * Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform across cloud and on‑prem environments * Develop and maintain configuration management and automation using Ansible * Perform advanced system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in Linux environments * Develop automation frameworks and operational tooling using Shell/Bash scripting * Support deployment, operations, and lifecycle management of applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms * Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and observability frameworks for Kubernetes/OpenShift environments * Work across IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and GCP to integrate DevOps and infrastructure workflows * Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and compliance of DevOps platforms * Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to enforce DevOps best practices * Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives **Required technical and professional expertise** • * Strong experience in DevOps engineering or related roles * Expert-level knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure automation * Strong hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management * Advanced proficiency in Linux systems administration * Expert-level skills in Shell/Bash scripting * Strong understanding of OpenShift and Kubernetes architecture and operations * Experience developing or maintaining monitoring and alerting solutions for Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms * Solid understanding of cloud environments, including IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and GCP * Knowledge of CI/CD tools, GitOps practices, and DevOps methodologies **Preferred technical and professional experience** • * Experience designing enterprise-scale CI/CD and GitOps frameworks * Exposure to security and compliance practices in cloud and container platforms * Experience supporting production-grade Kubernetes/OpenShift environments * Familiarity with incident management, SRE practices, and reliability engineering * Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams * Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or DevOps tools IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
