Accountabilities:

    As Vice President of Business Development, you will lead regional growth initiatives, oversee business development teams, and develop strategies that increase market share, revenue, and client engagement across key industries.

    • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and provide direction to a team of Regional Business Development Directors and sales professionals.
    • Own regional growth targets, revenue objectives, and performance outcomes.
    • Establish sales strategies, operating plans, and measurable goals to drive consistent business results.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, existing customers, and strategic partners.
    • Identify new market opportunities and develop initiatives to expand service adoption across targeted industries.
    • Create detailed account strategies by understanding prospect needs, business challenges, and opportunities for tailored solutions.
    • Oversee the development of proposals, presentations, RFP responses, and pricing strategies in collaboration with internal resources.
    • Partner with operational teams to ensure successful implementation and transition of new client programs.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate business development effectiveness and market performance.
    • Collaborate with Strategic Accounts, Operations, Marketing, and other stakeholders to align growth initiatives.
    • Represent the organization in client meetings, industry events, and strategic partnership discussions.
    • Travel as required to support relationship development and business growth activities.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a senior business development professional with extensive experience building relationships, leading sales initiatives, and driving growth within consulting, risk management, claims, or related industries.

      • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related fields preferred.
      • 10+ years of experience in relationship management, business development, claims management, risk management, or a comparable field.
      • Demonstrated success leading complex sales processes and expanding enterprise-level client relationships.
      • Experience managing and developing high-performing business development teams.
      • Strong understanding of strategic account growth, partnership development, and consultative selling approaches.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentation abilities.
      • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to interpret market opportunities and translate business needs into actionable growth strategies.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business development tools.
      • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
      • Professional certifications such as CPCU and/or ARM, or progress toward these designations, preferred.
      • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
