Accountabilities:

    • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex infrastructure automation and systems engineering solutions.
    • Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance across engineering, development, and system administration teams.
    • Design and maintain enterprise-scale infrastructure components, including hypervisor clusters, Kubernetes clusters, Linux and Windows virtual machines, and storage environments.
    • Develop, test, implement, and improve automation solutions for provisioning, monitoring, configuration management, and operational efficiency.
    • Build and maintain integrations between systems, automate operational reporting, and improve data-driven processes.
    • Support modern DevOps practices through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code approaches, and automated deployment workflows.
    • Contribute to custom development and scripting solutions using technologies such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Node.js.
    • Establish technical standards, architectural guidelines, documentation, and best practices for systems infrastructure.
    • Perform code reviews, quality assurance activities, and knowledge sharing to improve engineering excellence.
    • Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities, strengthen infrastructure protection, and support compliance requirements.
    • Mentor other engineers through coaching, technical guidance, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
    • Participate in operational support activities, including on-call rotations, incident resolution, and critical infrastructure maintenance.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
      • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience working with Linux/Unix systems, particularly Red Hat and Ubuntu environments.
      • 7+ years of experience supporting large-scale, geographically distributed server architectures and enterprise infrastructure.
      • Strong background working with development and system administration teams in complex application environments.
      • Experience in telecommunications or similarly large-scale technology environments is highly desirable.
      • Strong networking knowledge, including server connectivity, IP, and Ethernet fundamentals.
      • Hands-on experience with virtualization, Kubernetes, Docker, containers, and cloud technologies such as OpenStack, GCP, or Azure.
      • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, and Jinja.
      • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and development workflows, including Git/GitHub/GitLab and platforms such as Jenkins or equivalent solutions.
      • Experience deploying and configuring web and Linux services such as Nginx, Apache, bind, and iptables.
      • Understanding of software lifecycle management, Agile methodologies, and technical requirement definition.
      • Ability to translate manual operational processes into automated workflows and scalable solutions.
      • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing environments, and deliver solutions within critical deadlines.
      • Availability to work Pacific Time business hours and participate in occasional on-call, evening, or weekend support when required.
