We are looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Oshkosh, WI

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Build strong cross-functional and supplier relationships to drive improved quality performance and align outcomes with business objectives. 
  • Apply APQP, AIAG tools, and Cummins quality methodologies to enhance supplier manufacturing processes and ensure product consistency. 
  • Support supplier audits and progressively lead low-risk audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action development to resolve supplier-related quality issues effectively. 
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure sustainable resolution of quality challenges. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to strengthen supplier capabilities. 
  • Support quality performance planning for specific products or supplier segments to improve overall supply chain quality outcomes. 
  • Progress toward independently leading low-complexity quality initiatives, audits, and improvement projects, increasing impact and ownership over time.

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 

  • Communicate effectively across suppliers, customers, and internal teams by tailoring messaging to diverse audiences and ensuring clear alignment on quality expectations. 
  • Build strong customer-focused relationships that drive trust, collaboration, and delivery of high-quality, customer-centric solutions. 
  • Apply auditing expertise and Quality Management Systems knowledge (ISO9001, IATF16949) to identify risks, ensure compliance, and improve supplier processes. 
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical requirements (GD&T) to enhance manufacturability, measurability, and overall product quality. 
  • Leverage core quality and manufacturing tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, PPAP) to design, validate, and sustain zero-defect manufacturing and measurement systems. 
  • Utilize structured problem-solving, statistical analysis, and quality influence skills to drive root cause resolution, improve supplier performance, and lead data-driven quality decisions.

    Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
    College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required 
    This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

    Experience: 
    Minimal level of relevant work experience required.

Preferred JDE, Minitab, Excel experience.
