Functional Test and DevOps Engineer

With continuous learning, career growth, and a supportive culture, IBM provides the opportunities to build expertise and shape the infrastructure that drives progress. **Your role and responsibilities** * Strong Testing basics in Test plan development, Test analysis and Test case design methods * Strong Automation testing (UI & API) experience. * Strong Python programming , Shell scripting. * Strong knowledge on Jenkins, Pipeline development and groovy programming * Strong Automation framework development and knowledge [Robot framework, Allure and other ] * Good Linux knowledge and ability to debug and analyse the log files. * Good knowledge in Container environments, Dockerfiles, Podman etc... * Hands on knowledge in Ansible, playbook development or execution * Hands on knowledge on using AI models and agents in Test life cycle. **Required technical and professional expertise** Develop test plans, test cases, and test strategies for firmware validation • Perform functional, system, and regression testing • Design and implement automation frameworks (UI & API) • Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy • Analyse logs and debug issues in Linux environments • Validate solutions in containerised environments (Docker/Podman) • Develop and execute Ansible playbooks for test setups • Leverage AI/ML tools and agents to improve test efficiency and coverage • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for defect analysis and resolution **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Strong testing fundamentals (test design, analysis, defect lifecycle) • Expertise in test automation (UI & API) • Strong Python programming & Shell scripting • Skilled in API Development and integration with design level exposure • Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, Groovy • Strong automation frameworks (Robot Framework, Allure, etc.) knowledge. • Good Linux knowledge with hands-on debugging/log analysis skills • Experience with containers (Docker/Podman) • Knowledge of Ansible (playbook development/execution) • Knowledge of AI-driven testing / intelligent automation • Experience in firmware/system-level testing • Exposure to IBM Z / mainframe environments • Knowledge of security/compliance testing IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
