The Oracle Linux & Virtualization Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth and customer adoption for Oracle Linux, Linux Virtualization, Ksplice, Oracle VirtualBox, and related OCI infrastructure solutions. This role partners closely with Oracle Account Executives, Cloud Sales, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, channel partners, and alliance teams to help enterprise customers modernize infrastructure, reduce operational complexity, and expand their use of Oracle Linux and virtualization technologies.
The specialist will lead consultative sales engagements, identify new opportunities across license, support, subscription, and OCI-related offerings, and position Oracle Linux and virtualization solutions to meet customer business and technical requirements. This role requires strong enterprise sales experience, executive engagement skills, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles across strategic accounts.
Develop and execute territory and account plans to identify Oracle Linux and virtualization opportunities. Drive new license, support, subscription, and OCI-related sales opportunities. Position Oracle Linux, Ksplice, Oracle Linux Virtualization, Oracle VirtualBox, KVM, and OCI solutions to address customer infrastructure modernization, security, virtualization, and cloud needs.
Partner with Oracle account teams on customer strategy, executive engagement, and opportunity planning. Lead customer discovery meetings to qualify business and technical requirements. Coordinate demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts with Solution Engineering and cross-functional teams.
Build trusted relationships with CIOs, infrastructure leaders, architects, operations teams, channel partners, and alliance organizations. Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and opportunity information using Oracle sales tools. Consistently work toward quarterly and annual sales objectives while supporting long-term Oracle Linux and virtualization adoption.
