Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Ground Fleet Coordinator - Flights, you will be instrumental in ensuring the operational excellence of our life-saving flight ground fleet. You'll proactively manage and plan an effective fleet program, directly impacting our ability to deliver safe and high-quality patient care. This pivotal role requires a strong commitment to readiness, guaranteeing our ground vehicles are always prepared to support critical flight operations.
Every day, you will oversee the maintenance and reliability of our ground fleet, ensuring all vehicles meet stringent safety and operational standards. Your responsibilities will include scheduling preventative maintenance, coordinating repairs, managing vehicle registrations, and tracking fleet performance metrics. You'll collaborate closely with the Chief Flight Nurse-Operations to optimize fleet utilization and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication abilities are essential for coordinating with various departments and external vendors. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in fleet management, a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, and a passionate commitment to supporting critical healthcare services.
- Assures each vehicle meets applicable State and regulatory accreditation criteria at all times.
- Oversees and coordinates preventative maintenance (PM) for all ground vehicles.
- Responsible for evaluating Ambulance Repair forms, creating a repair plan, and seeing the repair through to finish.
- Maintains an effective maintenance rotation that allows for PM.
- Be prepared at all times to respond to or facilitate roadside needs.
- Communicates any vehicle status change (In-service or out of service) to Dispatch and updates ambulance communication channels.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Two (2) years' fleet maintenance or equivalent experience
- Valid Colorado driver's license and ability to pass the annual review of driving record for safe vehicle operations
Preferred
- Automobile mechanic training
- Experience with EMS vehicles, communications radios, medical gas, emergency signals/sirens
- Prehospital experience
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
