The Enterprise Initiative Consultant/Strategy Consultant is an integral member of the Strategy Office (Enterprise Initiative Office) and is tasked with helping develop insightful, data-driven recommendations to Intermountain senior leaders to address complex business / operational issues that further Intermountain’ s mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible.

We hire different levels of this role based on prior experience and qualifications. Compensation ranges from approximately $50/hour to $90/hour based on years of applicable experience. The qualified candidate must live within the Intermountain footprint UT, CO, NV, ID, WY or MT, with a preference for the candidate to live in Utah, the Salt Lake area preferably. 


Business travel is necessary in this role, regardless of state of residence, and will primarily be within Intermountain Health's service area (UT, ID, NV, CO, WY, MT) but may also require travel within the United States.


The Enterprise Initiative Consultant (EIC) is responsible for working with cross-functional teams and completing work on approved projects.  The EIC will support large, complex engagements by assisting teams in identifying, designing, and coordinating implementation of sustainable solutions for internal stakeholders. Potential projects involve many different services, departments, and functions across the organization such as clinical and non-clinical operations, quality and patient safety, strategy, and business development.

  • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations
  • Communicate with stakeholders and Strategy Team members with precision and clarity
  • Ensure completion and quality of project deliverables
  • Perform specifically defined tasks to support system initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer prior experience with a matrixed, complex healthcare system
  • Prior healthcare finance, consumer experience (CX), payer relations with SelectHealth or another health insurer and/or AI adaptation experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of related experience. Degree must be from an accredited institution and will be verified


Physical Requirements

  • Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands
  • See and read computer monitors and documents
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$59.50 - $91.84
